This restaurant is located in the grand spa building, which means most of its customers are older folks who come before or after sauna. Don't let that fool you; the food is GOOD.
Their well-known angus beef soup (gukbab) is my favorite dish to order. It's cheap, filling, and perfectly traditional Korean. It serves as my hangover cure, even more than hangover soup itself. If you want to spice things up, the acorn noodles are a great option for a hot summer day. It's pricier but the portion size is huge and should be shared with the whole table.
We made the mistake of ordering the pork cutlet once. Not only was it unconscionably expensive, but it was so incredibly ordinary and mediocre. When you come here, stick to their soups and you won't leave upset. -

Came here because cabbage and beef soup is one of our favorite korean comfort foods.
Both of these soups can be reviewed together, as the broth was the same. It tasted more like a Yukgaejang () more than a , and didn't have the fermented soybean taste that is more classic of a . Also tasted reminiscent of a ramen soup as well. The cabbage soup was lacking in those thick pieces of cabbage that makes the soup so good, instead there were thin stringy pieces. For both soups, there was a good amount of beef, but definitely not the strong flavors that we were looking for. To top it all off, there were only two side dishes (a cabbage kimchi and a radish kimchi), both of which were just OK.
Overall, kinda disappointed at these soups...but at least there's free parking out in front! -

Located inside the grand spa building. Decent parking lot.
****There are signs stating a $30 minimum for credit and debit cards.****
Nice look inside. They have cups on the table but I would check before using them. Some were dirty inside.
Got the hae jang guk, hangover soup, with ox blood. Which is the first item on the menu.
There was a special promo of $8.99 per bowl for this item during my visit.
The side dishes offered were kimchi and kimchi radish.
Portion size for the soup is good but too small for the rice.
The soup comes out bland. You will have to ask for salt or seasoning used for soups, dadegi. I actually prefer it this way. Season it to your own taste and not be worried about it being too salty.
Didn't feel parched afterwards so it was nice to not feel like crap after a big bowl of soup.
More than enough portions of blood and veggies. The soup tastes clean and is light. Although, I think they could have cooked it a bit more to bring out a more rich flavor.
If it was at this price point regularly, I think this is a great value meal.
Regardless of price, it is still a solid meal.
Good place to get that classic bowl of soup and rice. -

One of those hole in the wall places to go for intestines in K-Town. Upon walking in, it's quite obvious that this restaurant used to be a bar or club. The full bar and huge booths just throws it off. They have TVs on all corners of the restaurant, so it's a good place to eat and catch up on sports. We ordered the Beef Intestine Stew which has a serving that can feed up to 2-3 people. The intestines were very good and fresh. You can also request them to do fried rice with the remaining stew. Service was friendly and quick. Most customers of this restaurant are usually older people that are also patrons of the spa upstairs. There is a $30 minimum for credit cards, so be prepared to pay cash if you're alone. There is plenty of parking available in the lot behind the restaurant, but be sure to let the security guard know where you're going to avoid getting your car towed.

The radish kimchi here is super good.
Unfortunately the intestines soup broth was bland, had no deep broth flavor, other than the nice kimchi flavor. Don't think they cleaned out the intestines here, which is a no-no for me.
I also ordered the squid plate to go. It was decent as well. This place is good because it opens at 7:00 AM everyday if you like your breakfast early. Wish they played music here instead of turning on the TV and volume.
Service was very good.
